Years Ago I Was Backpacking Across Europe….
Unpacking travel trends with the new travel buddy in town: Zostel
What the Startup? 🔭
Hey again! Remember the classic Joey line?
This might ring a bell for you, but we're here to discuss the concept of ‘backpacking’ only xD.
Backpacking is something you might have come across, perhaps through social media updates. It's all about setting out to travel with a bag and has gained immense popularity these days.
So, if I were to ask you, what's stopping you from giving it a try?
And you can't say money, because there’s a solution for that! And today’s issue is about that only.
Zostel to the rescue!
Now, the startup we're delving into today, Zostel, set out to tackle precisely these questions and understand the challenges that travellers face.
Use your Imaginative lens and assume that after months of planning and saving money, you've found your ideal hotel, but it's beyond your budget :(
In such a situation, you might contemplate staying in a Dharamshala (sort of a building dedicated for religious purposes and acts as a rest house for travellers). But the surroundings and strict rules might not be appealing, leaving you wondering if it's worth the cost.
In response to this dilemma, the concept of a "hostel for backpackers" was born.
Zostel is like a hostel that offers a homely environment with all the essential amenities at an affordable price. It's the perfect solution for budget travellers, especially those between the ages of 18 and 30, who seek safe, hygienic, and cost-effective accommodation. Zostel caters to the needs of the new-age traveler, which is why it combines 'hostel' with the spirit of today's gen Z aka Zostel.
The concept draws inspiration from hostels commonly found abroad. Remember Rani from the movie 'Queen'? If you do, you might also recall how she made friends from different nationalities while staying in what the movie described as a 'hostel.'
Well, that's precisely what we're talking about here.
Why Zostel?
What's the experience like at Zostel, and what sets them apart from traditional stays?
Zostel offers air-conditioned dorms, available for both mixed and female-only guests, at an affordable price of just INR 500 per night.
Beyond the basics, each Zostel is a unique experience, thoughtfully designed to embrace local culture and provide travellers with a city-centric haven.
With actual beds and shared spaces for games, campfires, open mics, and various activities, Zostel encourages social interaction and fun.
The traditional image of budget-friendly hotels has often been that of 'just a place to sleep.' However, Zostel aims to provide travellers with not just a place to sleep but also a great source of enjoyment and lasting memories.
Thus by emphasizing location safety, security, hygiene, and affordability, Zostel undeniably provides excellent value for your money that's hard to resist!
